RTE Junior TV star Jay Ryan (“Living with a Fairy”) presents a new twist on the classic fairy tale favourite, “The Musicians of Bremen town” by The Brothers Grimm.
Jay Ryan has worked and performed in festivals and theatres across Ireland including: The Birr Scriptwriters Festival, Watergate Theatre Kilkenny, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children and the sold out show at the 2022 Ballina Children’s Fringe Festival.
In Jay’s high energy, comedy-clowning, physical theatre style he tells the story of four ageing domestic animals, who after a lifetime of hard work are mistreated by the mean old farmer and his mean old wife. The animals decide to sneak away and to travel to the Big Smoke in hopes of becoming fabulous musicians.
Little do they know of the dangers of the world while on their way to fulfilling their musical dreams.
This endearing story of teamwork and the search for dignity at any age is hilarious fun in the best of the Jay Ryan way.
Accompanied on-stage as the Storytelling Assistant is the effervescent Eileen O’Toole.
This is a Glens Centre, Manorhamilton production.
