Dance Performance with Mintesinot Wolde, Fionnuala Doyle Wade & cellist Anna Houston

Inspired by our theme of the River, choreographer and dancer Mintesinot Wolde has created a new piece which he will be performing alongside dancer Fionnuala Doyle Wade and cellist Anna Houston with the poem  Sound of Water Searching read by Michael O’Dea

Mintesinot Wolde is a professional contemporary dance artist who graduated with an MA from the University of Limerick. He is the artistic director of Mintesinot Wolde Dance, an active member of Dance Ireland, Artist Panellist for Roscommon County Council, and a board member of Galway Dance Project

Fionnuala Doyle Wade is a dance artist based in Galway City.  Originally from Seattle she trained in ballet and modern with Cornish college of the Arts, Kaleidoscope Dance Company and the Creative Dance Centre. She moved to Galway in 2014 to pursue a degree in Human Righs having since worked regularly with the Galway Dance Project

Anna Houston

Originally from Switzerland, Anna has been living in Sligo for 29 years and is best known to Sligo audiences as Mandolin and cello player and founding member of Sligo Folk Band “NoCrows” with whom she has toured in Ireland,Belgium, Switzerland, England, Germany, Denmark, Holland and Spain. 
 
She studied cello at the Conservatory in her home town Bern,  Switzerland and taught herself Banjo and Mandolin  in her late teens. She teaches at Sligo Academy of Music and in many schools as part of Music Generation.
