ENTRY FEE €9 per piece of work (€6 per work concessions) Maximum 3 entries per person (entry fee non-refundable)
GENERAL REGULATIONS Entries accepted in any medium.All work
must be original and ready to hang, as we cannot take the responsibility of
hanging pieces with no hangers. All paintings must be framed or presented in a
normally acceptable standard (clip-on glass is not accepted). Never previously
shown in Boyle. Each work must have a securely attached label on the back with
the artist's name, address, phone no., title and price, and be accompanied by an
entry form. Please write this in BLOCK CAPITALS, as sometimes we have difficulty
with handwriting!
SIZE LIMIT No dimension larger than 70cm, which includes the
frame will be accepted. Please note: It is usually smaller pieces which
sell.
SALE OF WORK Works must be for sale. Include 25% commission
in sale price.Preference will be given to works under €700.No responsibility
will be taken for failure by the purchaser to complete a sale whether a deposit
has been taken or not.
HANDING IN Works should be brought to Church of Ireland
School, Boyle. (On the same road as the Gardai Station and opposite the family
Life Centre) on Friday 27th June 4 to 6pm -or- Saturday 28th June 4 to 6pm
INSURANCE Whilst all due care will be taken by the
organizers with all entries, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage,
however caused, artists are therefore advised to arrange their own adequate
insurance cover against all risks, during transportation, exhibition, storage
and returning of work.
ADJUDICATION A panel of adjudicators will select 1st, 2nd
and 3rd prize and the Eilis Kilgallen Award for the most promising artist under
25. Artists will be notified of selection as soon as possible by post. Work
which is not selected may be collected during the Arts Festival.
EXHIBITION SITTERS PLEASE complete the bottom section of the
form if you are able to sit the exhibition for a couple of hours. This
is usually quite a good opportunity for artists to have a good look at the
exhibition and to meet the public.
