A Soprano, Regina Nathan’s operatic career has taken her across Europe and as far as Kuala Lumpur and to New York’s Carnegie Hall.
We are truly delighted to have her back in Boyle again, after many years. Her repertoire ranges from the title role in Cavalli’s La Calisto to the world-premiere of Mark Anthony Turnage’s The Country of the Blind for the Aldeburgh Festival/English National Opera.
Her portrayal of the role of Puccini’s Cio Cio San in Madama Butterfly was hailed with critical acclaim as was her role of Cleopatra in Handel’s Julius Caesar, Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata and Norma in Bellini’s Norma.
Her most recent performances include the huge success of the show: CASTA DIVA – The life and loves of Maria Callas to sold out audiences in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, in which Regina was the principal soloist. So too was her tour with the The 3 Sopranos following on from their sold out Gala Christmas Concerts at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, in association with the John Murray Show on RTÉ Radio 1.
